Adding value to educational projects

For ELDS

We where commissioned to design a logotype for an educational project which aims to provide quality e-learning services. This is a conceptually well rounded branding design which has a modern feel. The general idea is to represent a serious academic environment online. This is generally represented by the coat of arms.

The branding system is thought to be very flexible, the logo can be used in both versions (horizontal and vertical) depending on the clients needs
We incorporated several concepts into the logotype without becoming overwhelming
Using a gradient gives a modern look, as well as using bright colours

The E- was kept because it is very representative of the name and people are use to see it and relate it with online related things. The use of the diamond in stead of a hyphen is also symbolic, it represent the idea of excellence as diamonds are precious and also symbol of perfection, elegance, etc. The condensed sans serif uppercase indicates seriousness and modernity while the name set in lowercase relates to the humans behind the machines.

The typeface used is Geomanist Sans by Atipo Foundry
